About Us

Who We Serve

Grailtek serves medium to large businesses of all kinds. While we strive to serve all industries, our current pool of talent has a concentration of experience in the manufacturing, engineering, and finance; we also have an interest in law, physics, and bioinformatics.

What We Do

We develop custom software, but we do more than merely execute a specification for you; we help you leverage your greatest asset - your human capital - better through the use of web, thick client, database, and other computer technologies. Our philosophy is that serving your best production employees and decision-makers by delivering them automation, improved communication, greater information availability, and better analysis generates immediate and marked improvements to the efficiency and quality of your business operations.

We also specialize in "creative solutions" to problems that need to be approached in fresh and unique ways.

The Founder

Paul Gordon, an MIT graduate in mechanical engineering, began work on the first version of Business Operating System (BOS) in 1998, in response to a multi-national manufacturing company's need to transition from an all-paper system to an all-electronic system. Within less than a year, BOS took over the operation of all departments and spread to the other corporate locations. While an engineer in title, Paul quickly realized his love and talent for software design and architecture and seeing a real, day-to-day positive impact of his efforts for businesses.

In the spring of 2000 Paul founded Grailtek, as a company devoted to serving the custom software needs of businesses in the greater Boston area. Since then Paul has been growing a network of elite developers that share a common goal - to simply be known as the best custom software developers in the industry.
